Scaffolder Jobs in Saudi Arabia, September 2026: TUV Card, 15–16 SAR Hourly Rates and Where the Work Is

Scaffolders are in high demand in Saudi Arabia. See the latest hourly rates (15–16 SAR/hr), what a TUV scaffolder card is, which documents employers want (Iqama, Muqeem, Ajeer, chamber) and where the jobs are: Riyadh, Makkah, Abqaiq, Najran and Jubail.

Scaffolders are among the most requested trades in Saudi Arabia this month. On 26 September 2026 alone, employers posted more than 150 scaffolder openings across Riyadh, Makkah and Abqaiq, and the same week brought TUV scaffolder requirements in Najran, Fadhili, Jubail and on non-Aramco projects in several regions. This guide explains what the TUV card means, what employers are paying per hour right now, which documents you need and how to get hired quickly.

Quick answer: how much do scaffolders earn in Saudi Arabia in 2026?

In the ads posted on 26 September 2026, scaffolder rates are 15 to 16 SAR per hour. A Riyadh project pays 16 SAR per hour for 100 TUV scaffolders, a long-term Makkah job pays 16 SAR per hour, and an Abqaiq requirement for 50 TUV scaffolders pays 15 SAR per hour with food, accommodation and transport (FAT) provided by the company. On a 10-hour day, 26 days a month, 15 to 16 SAR per hour works out to roughly SAR 3,900 to 4,160 a month before any deductions.

Where the scaffolding jobs are this week

Riyadh: Arabian Business Center (ABC) needs 100 scaffolders for one month, extendable, with immediate mobilization. Payment comes 30 days after the invoice is submitted.

Makkah: Star Saudia General Contracting Est. is hiring scaffolders for a long-term job at 16 SAR per hour. Ajeer is the main document.

Abqaiq: 50 TUV scaffolders are needed at 15 SAR per hour, long term, with chamber required and FAT from the company.

Najran, Fadhili and Jubail: earlier this week employers posted 40 TUV scaffolders for an Aramco project in Najran, 50 scaffolders in Fadhili and TUV scaffolder crews in Jubail. All of these jobs are listed on the Wathiq Careers jobs page.

What is a TUV scaffolder card?

A TUV card is a third-party competency certificate. It is issued after scaffolding training and a practical and written assessment by an accredited inspection company. On Aramco, SABIC and other large industrial sites, contractors usually must show that their scaffolders are certified by a recognised third party, so ads often say "TUV" or "Iqama with TUV". The card normally names your level, for example basic scaffolder or advanced scaffolder, and has an expiry date. Keep it valid, because an expired card can stop you at the gate on the first day.

Documents employers ask for

Today's scaffolder ads ask for these documents: a valid Iqama, Muqeem, a valid TUV card, Ajeer (when you work for a company other than your sponsor), chamber-attested papers and your original passport. Ajeer is the Ministry of Human Resources platform that lets a worker legally work for another company for a set period, and many short-term scaffolding jobs cannot start without it. If your sponsor does not allow Ajeer, ask the employer before you travel.

Hourly rate vs FAT: compare the full package

A higher hourly rate is not always the better job. The Abqaiq offer pays 15 SAR per hour but includes food, accommodation and transport. A job at 16 SAR per hour without FAT can leave you with less money after rent, food and taxi costs. Also check the payment cycle: some employers pay 30 days after invoice, others 45 days after timesheet. Before you mobilize, ask how many hours per day are guaranteed, whether overtime is paid and when the first salary arrives.

Skills that get you hired faster

Employers shortlist scaffolders who can read a scaffold drawing, erect and dismantle tube-and-coupler and system scaffolds, calculate simple loads and always work with a full-body harness and 100% tie-off. Experience on refinery or plant shutdowns is a strong plus. Supervisors and inspectors with advanced TUV cards are harder to find, so if you have 5 or more years of experience, it is worth upgrading your card.

How to apply

Open the scaffolder jobs on Wathiq Careers, check the location, rate and documents, then send a short WhatsApp message to the employer with your trade, TUV level, Iqama status, Ajeer availability and current city, with your CV and a photo of your TUV card attached. Never pay anyone for a job, a card or a test slot. Real employers do not ask workers for money.
